Victor's Story
Victor is a chocolate Lab who was picked up by FCAC after a
concerned citizen found him on the porch of a home on October 23, 2002. When he
was brought in, Victor only weighed 42 pounds, was dehydrated, covered in fleas,
and had significant hair loss. FCAC staff estimated Victor's age to be 1.5
years. The moment he entered the shelter, Victor's tail never stopped wagging
(actually more of a thumping), so FCAC staff decided to help Victor recover from
his neglectful and unfortunate situation. Victor's condition was very serious,
however, he’s one tough guy and was able to conquer anemia, serious
bladder/kidney infection, and an allergic reaction. On January 23, 2003, Victor
weighed 73 pounds and he was neutered. Victor was eventually
adopted by the Director of the shelter. :-)
