Licensing Your Dog Is Required By Law

- All dogs in Ohio three months of age and older must be licensed annually by January 31 or immediately after assuming ownership.
- You must show proof of current rabies vaccination in order to purchase a dog license. Low-cost rabies shot clinics is available from the Franklin County Public Health. Or get your dog vaccinated by any licensed veterinarian.
- The license tag must be displayed on your dog's collar at all times.
License Fees
$12 – Puppies aged 9 months or younger.
$12 – Dogs 9 months or older that have been spayed or neutered.
$24 – Dogs over 9 months that have not been spayed or neutered.
Late fees apply after January 31!
The cost of your license is doubled if you are late.
