Rescue Group Information for Mingle with our Mutts

All legitimate rescues and shelters (dogs & cats) are invited to set up a table at our bi-monthly Mingle with our Mutts Adoption events.  Mingle with our Mutts is held the first and third Sundays of each month, from 12-2 at  Franklin County Dog Shelter, 1731 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus, OH  43207. 

During the warm weather months, we are outside on the lawn by the shelter.  During winter months (November - February or March) we are next door to the shelter inside the Fleet Garage at 1721 Alum Creek Drive.  Follow the signs thru our parking lot and you can unload and park closer to the garage.

We promote this event each month through TV, radio coverage and print advertisements. We ask participating groups to print and post the Mingle flyer (on the front page) and to post info about the event on the front page of your web site.

We have just a few guidelines we ask each group to follow:

  • All dogs, puppies, cats, kittens at the events must be spayed/neutered.  No exceptions!  Thank you!
  • No items should be sold at this event.
  • It is up to each group's discretion regarding placement policies. 
  • Many groups have a home visit policy and vet reference check and Mingle is a place where they can be seen and generate interest but not release a dog or puppy.
  • Please keep all dogs on a short leash.

if you sign up to attend a Mingle event and you can not attend, please let us know as we are giving the media your name that you will be in attendance.

Items you will find handy to have at the Mingle (you will need to provide)

  • tent (for warm weather months)
  • table
  • donation jar
  • water & banner with your group name on it
